These terms govern your use of Retentio AI ("the app"), provided by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. Your use of Shopify is also governed by Shopify's own terms.
The service
Retentio AI analyses your store's order and customer history to produce customer segments, churn risk scores, AI-written reports and retention campaign proposals. It can also run the campaigns you approve in your store: tagging customers, creating discount codes and customer segments, and measuring outcomes against a holdout group. It does nothing in your store unless you ask it to.
Plans and billing
- The Free plan is free and has the usage limits shown in the app.
- Paid plans (Growth, US$39, and Pro, US$79, each billed every 30 days) are charged through Shopify's billing system and appear on your Shopify invoice. Shopify handles payment, taxes and refunds under its own billing terms.
- You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the app's plan page, without contacting us. When you downgrade to Free, your subscription is cancelled straight away and Shopify credits the unused part of the billing period. Uninstalling the app also cancels your subscription.
- We may change prices or plan limits with at least 30 days' notice. A price change takes effect only after you approve it through Shopify.
Your responsibilities
- You're responsible for the campaigns you launch, including the discounts you offer and any messages you send to customers, and for complying with the marketing, privacy and consumer protection laws that apply to your store.
- You confirm that you have the right to let us process your store's data as described in the Privacy Policy.
- You won't misuse the service: no reverse-engineering, no attempts to get around plan limits, no interfering with its operation, and no using it for unlawful purposes.
AI-generated content and estimates
Reports, forecasts, churn scores, recommendations and drafted copy are produced by statistical models and AI and can be wrong. Treat them as decision support, not as guarantees, and review anything before you act on it or send it to customers. Measured campaign results depend on sample size and on your store's data. Past lift doesn't guarantee future results.
Your data
You keep ownership of your store's data. We use it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy, and we delete it when you uninstall the app.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the app available and accurate but don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, add or remove features. If we plan to discontinue the app, we'll give reasonable notice.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, such as the disclaimers and the limitation of liability, continue to apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING JURISDICTION], and disputes will be resolved in its courts, unless the consumer protection laws where you are based require otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date and notify you by email or in the app. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the updated terms.
